The day will have three components, which are as follows:
1. Morning Leadership Program:
The morning session will be a 3-hour interactive in-person event for young and emerging leaders in emergency department administration (doctors, nurses and others!) delivered by Dr. Brian Golden (Sandra Rotman Chaired Professor in Health Sector Strategy at the Rotman School of Management, The University of Toronto).
This session will cover three broad topics:
All participants will leave this session with an evidence-based primer on how to create a supportive, high-performance environment, how to influence others, and how to lead organizational change.
This leadership program will be held in-person at Mount Sinai Hospital (downtown Toronto).
Due to the limited number of spots for this in-person session, this session was application-only.

2. Afternoon Virtual Event:
The afternoon session will be held virtually and cover current topics relevant to emergency department physician and nursing leaders across Canada.
Topics to be covered in this year’s session are:
Attendees of the morning Leadership Program will be provided with space at Mount Sinai Hospital to attend this virtual event if they choose.
3. Networking Dinner:
All EDAC attendees will be given the option to attend a Networking Dinner with the conference speakers, planning committee, and leaders in ED administration.
Attendees of the Networking Dinner will have the opportunity for small-group interaction with leaders of their choosing.
Individuals who wish to attend the Networking Dinner must complete their registration by November 14th, 2023 to reserve a spot at this event.
