Dr. Catherine Varner leads new concussion research

A recent study, led by SREMI Clinician Scientist Dr. Catherine Varner, has demonstrated that there is no difference in symptoms or recovery times between patients who received standard post-concussion discharge instructions developed by the Centre for Disease Control and those who did not. This study, which was published in Academic Emergency Medicine, indicates that medical advice given to concussion patients may need to change. For a full article, click here.
